At Central we believe serving is very important for 3 reasons:

Reason #1 - God Has Good Works for Us To Do

Ephesians 2:10 tells us that followers of Christ are his workmanship. He created us to to do good works. In fact, God has prepared in advance for us to do those good works. When we serve, we are fulfilling   part of our God-given purpose

Reason #2 - To Show Love to People

Matthew 22:34-40 is known as the Great Commandment. The Great Commandment is straightforward: Love God and Love People. We believe a great way to show love for people and love for God, is to serve people and help meet needs in their lives.

Reason #3 - To Participate in Gathering and Promoting Growth

God loves people and wants people to have a relationship with him. For that relationship to begin and for people to grow in their relationships with God, they need help.  As we serve, we can be a part of introducing people to God and helping people grow in their relationship with God.

There are many opportunities to serve within Central:

teaching, nursery help,

vocal and instrumental praise team, tech teams,

greeters, mentoring our youth... the list goes on.

As a church we have committed to serving the people of Haiti through a partnership with Mission of Hope (MOH). We send two or three teams each year to serve the people of Haiti in various ways with the intent to help them rebuild their lives and know the love of Jesus Christ.

We are now connected with the village of Minoterie which is a village about 5 miles southwest of MOH and has a population of approximately 9000.  Its businesses include a flour company, rice corporation and ice making plant.

Opportunities to serve exist for all ages.  Our teams have helped in the following ways and more:

Construction - roofing, painting, etc.

Medical - general, dentistry, prosthesis, physical therapy

Ministry in villages and orphanages including Vacation Bible School

Our next trips will be:

March 21 - 28, 2020

Registration Deadline is December 8, 2019

IRVING elementary SCHOOL

God has opened the doors for us to love our local community with a great partnership with      Irving Elementary School. Irving is a diverse school with over 700 K-5th grade students representing multiple nationalities.

Our desire is to serve and encourage both the staff and students, so that they would know      God's love.  There are always ways in which you can help at an annual event or on a                regular basis such as assisting a teacher in the classroom.

We have participated with the school in a variety of ways: Back to School BBQ, Staff Breakfast, Book Fair, Benefit Concert, Bingo Night, Easter Egg Hunt, School Carnival and classroom aid.

If you would like to invest in the Kingdom of God through our partnership with Irving Elementary School, contact the office at 712-239-1000 or email here
